The Procrastinator’s Guide to Last-Minute Gifts

Deb’s Dozen: Gifts are good; Gifts that keep on giving are better; Friendship’s Best!

I am the world’s best procrastinator when shopping. I detest going to physical stores–the crowds, the crowding, the crowded racks and shelves. Ever since online shopping became a reality, my preference is to surf the web for my choices. The best thing about these gifts is you can send them to the recipients by Christmas–a wonderful thing for us procrastinators!

All that to say I needed some last minute gifts for this Christmas. Many of my friends commute or travel extensively. Audio books work great for trains, planes, and automobiles. We put our Elk Lake books up on Audible– an excellent way to get the latest and best.

Other friends travel and want to read their faves, but they don’t want to haul heavy books around with them. For them, I’m suggesting they download the Kindle app. You can read your faves on almost any device.

Amazon.com – Read eBooks using the FREE Kindle Reading App on Most Devices

Many of my friends watch TV series and movies over and over. For them, I’m giving a gift of an Amazon Prime trial–keeps on giving for a year if they subscribe to the service. Prime gives access to hundreds of movies and TV series–great for those who need to catch up! I know I save the annual membership for Prime just from shipping charges–none!

And for all my friends who can’t survive without music playing all their waking hours, I’m giving an Audible Prime Music trial. Access to all their fave musicians as well as the ability to sample new ones without buying them. What more could you ask?

Wishing each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year!

Count it all joy! (James 1:2)
