Deb’s Dozen: When Grace Sings, Lives Change, Sins are Forgiven, True Happiness is Found

Briley Forrester, a foster kid still searching for acceptance as an adult, works for a scandal mag. He comes up with the idea of finding the “dirt” behind the Plain life of an Old Order Mennonite Community and convinces his boss he should go there, live in the community, and see what he can find.

Alexa Zimmerman wonders if the community will ever accept her with her history. She’s come to Arborville to redo her grandmother’s home into the bed-and-breakfast, Grace Notes.

Steven Brungardt wants more than anything to be a teacher, but his parents have chosen to give him his grandfather’s farm as a wedding gift. Being a dutiful son, he is obeying his parents and fixing up the farmhouse—knowing that he doesn’t want to be there or be a farmer.

Anna-Grace Braun knows she is adopted, but doesn’t want to know who her parents really are—the Brauns have raised her and they are the parents of her heart and mind. Steven’s farm is in Arborville and so are the parents who gave her up all those years ago. Can she be happy there?

When Grace Sings blesses us with the story of these four young people. All of them have soul-searching to do—all of them need to find themselves—all of them need to let go and let God. You will love these four—and the family that surrounds them. You will love finding out how their lives become intertwined and how they handle the situations that life serves up to them. This is a story of love and forgiveness and fellowship and hope. Four stars!
